Installation
Install YAS like any other WordPress plugin. It takes about a minute.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the
yoga-ayurveda-suite.zipfile and click Install Now. - Click Activate Plugin.
- A new Yoga & Ayurveda menu now appears in your dashboard sidebar.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.0 or higher is recommended for better speed and security)
The Free tools work right after activation. To use the Pro tools, continue to License Activation.
License Activation
Pro tools such as Prakriti and Bowel Health stay locked until you activate your license key.
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Settings.
- Open the License tab.
- Paste your Pro license key.
- Click Activate.
If a Pro shortcode shows a “Premium Feature Locked” message, your license is inactive, expired, or your site’s domain has changed. Clear the old key, enter it again and click Activate.
Your First Shortcode
Every tool appears on your website through a shortcode. Let us add the Yoga Finder.
- Go to Pages → Add New.
- Add a Shortcode block.
- Paste
[yas_mapping]into the block. - Click Publish and open the page to see the tool live.
Always paste a shortcode into a Shortcode block. If you paste it into a normal paragraph, the page may show the raw code instead of the tool.
See every shortcode in the Shortcodes Directory.
Shortcodes Directory
Copy a shortcode and paste it into any page or post to display that tool.
| Shortcode | Tool | Plan | |
|---|---|---|---|
[yas_mapping] | Yoga Finder | FREE | |
[viruddh_checker] | Viruddh Aahar Checker | FREE | |
[ritucharya_planner] | Ritucharya Planner | FREE | |
[prakriti_quiz] | Prakriti Test | PRO | |
[bowel_health_test] | Bowel Health | PRO |
Pro shortcodes only work while your license is active. See License Activation.
Prakriti Test
A short quiz that finds a visitor’s dominant dosha (Vata, Pitta or Kapha) and shows the result with a diet plan. This tool needs an active Pro license.
Build your questions
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Prakriti.
- Click Add New Question.
- Type the question or parameter, for example “Body Frame”.
- Write the answer that matches Vata, the one for Pitta and the one for Kapha.
- Save, then repeat for each question you want in the quiz.
Show it on your site
Paste [prakriti_quiz] into a Shortcode block on any page.
How the result is calculated
Each answer a visitor picks adds one point to a dosha. The dosha with the most points is the result. If two doshas finish within 2 points of each other, the result shows both, for example “Vata & Pitta”. If all three are that close, the result is “Tridoshaj”.
Whether the quiz asks for a name, an email or an OTP first depends on your lead capture settings in Yoga & Ayurveda → Settings.
Bowel Health
A scored gut health check that works out a visitor’s gut type and how severe their issue is. This tool needs an active Pro license.
Set it up in two steps
- Go to Bowel Categories and create your gut types, for example “Sensitive Gut” and “Sluggish Gut”. Give each one a primary issue.
- Go to Bowel Health and add your questions. For every answer option, set a score of 1, 2 or 3 and map it to a category.
The plugin adds up the scores to find the severity and the exact gut type.
Show it on your site
Paste [bowel_health_test] into a Shortcode block on any page.
If every visitor gets the same result, such as “Sama (Balanced)”, your answer options are probably not mapped to a category and a score. Open Bowel Health, edit each question and attach every option to a category.
Viruddh Aahar Checker
Lets visitors check whether two foods are considered incompatible in Ayurveda.
Add your food pairs
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Viruddh Aahar.
- Enter Food 1 and Food 2.
- Write the reason the pair is incompatible.
- Optionally, type a safe alternative. It is shown to the visitor with the warning.
What visitors see
Visitors pick two foods from a list, or choose Custom Food Item to type their own. The order of the two foods does not matter. A pair on your list shows a warning with the reason. Any other pair is shown as a safe combination.
The tool only knows the pairs you add. A pair that is not on your list is shown as safe, so add every combination you want to warn about.
Show it on your site
Paste [viruddh_checker] into a Shortcode block. You can see which combinations visitors search for most in Reports.
Yoga Finder
Helps visitors find yoga asanas that match a health condition.
Map asanas to conditions
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Yoga & Disease Mapping.
- Choose a health condition and add the asanas that help with it.
- Add a media URL (an image of the asana) and list its benefits.
- Save your changes.
Show it on your site
Paste [yas_mapping] into a Shortcode block. This is the shortcode used in Your First Shortcode.
The tool shares general information. We suggest adding a short note on the page that it is not medical advice.
Ritucharya Planner
Shows the current Ayurvedic season and the diet and lifestyle guidance that goes with it.
No setup needed
When you activate the plugin, six default seasons are added automatically, so the tool works from day one. It picks the current season from today’s date. Just paste [ritucharya_planner] into a Shortcode block.
Customize the seasons (optional)
You only need this if you want to change names, dates or text. For example, you can rename seasons in a regional language.
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Ritucharya Planner.
- Open the season you want to change.
- Edit its name, default dates and diet guidance text.
- Save your changes.
If your edits do not show on the live site, clear your site cache and reload the page.
Lead Capture & OTP Setup
Control how you collect patient data across all tools from the Settings menu. Free tools collect basic leads, while Pro tools support strict OTP verification.
Master Switches
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Settings and open the Delivery Method tab.
- Toggle Enable WhatsApp Capture or Enable Email Capture ON/OFF. This applies globally to all tools.
WhatsApp API Setup PRO
To send automated WhatsApp OTPs and reports, choose your preferred gateway in Settings:
- Meta Cloud API: Enter your Permanent Access Token, Phone Number ID, and an approved Template Name (must contain
{{1}}for the OTP). - Twilio: Enter your Account SID, Auth Token, and Twilio WhatsApp Number.
- Ultramsg: Enter your Instance ID and Token for personal WhatsApp integration.
Email OTP Verification PRO
Turn on the Email OTP toggle to verify user emails before unlocking the test results. Note: This requires an active SMTP connection to work reliably.
Emails, PDFs & Bonus Box
Automate the delivery of personalized diet plans and follow-up gifts directly to your patients’ inboxes.
Uploading and Mapping PDFs
- Upload your custom Diet Plans (e.g., Vata Diet, Pitta Diet) to your WordPress Media Library.
- Click on the uploaded PDF and copy its File URL.
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Settings → Email & PDFs tab.
- Paste the URL into the corresponding Dosha or Gut Type field.
The plugin will automatically attach the correct PDF link in the email based on the patient’s exact test result.
Immediate vs. Delayed Emails
- Immediate Result Email (Email 1): Sent the exact moment a user finishes a test. You can customize the subject, body, and toggle the “Download PDF” button ON/OFF.
- Delayed Bonus Email (Email 2): Sent automatically after a set delay (e.g., 24 hours). Powered by a background Action Scheduler, this is perfect for sending a “Free 7-Day Gut Reset” to keep patients engaged.
Customization & Branding
White-label the tools to match your clinic’s theme perfectly.
Global Branding
- Go to Yoga & Ayurveda → Customization.
- Select your Primary Brand Color. The system automatically calculates hover states and background tints.
- Adjust the Button Corner Radius (0 for sharp edges, 8 for soft, 50 for pill-shaped).
Customizing Tool Texts & Icons
Under each tool’s tab in Customization, you can rewrite the main heading, subheading, and button texts. You can also upload your own SVG or PNG icon to replace the default emojis.
Frontend Bonus Box PRO
You can display a beautiful “Free Gift Incoming” banner on the final result screen of Prakriti and Bowel tests. Enable this in Customization and set your custom texts (supports both English and Hindi versions).
Leads & CSV Export
Manage your captured patient data, analyze test results, and export them for marketing.
Viewing Analytics
Navigate to Yoga & Ayurveda → Reports. Here you can view:
- Captured Leads: Basic data collected from Yoga, Viruddh, and Ritucharya tools.
- Top Searched Viruddh Combinations: See which incompatible foods your visitors search for the most.
- Prakriti & Bowel Results PRO: Detailed patient scores, gut types, and severity breakdowns.
CSV Export PRO
- Go to Settings → Export / Import.
- Click the respective Export CSV buttons to download your data for Excel or CRM uploads.
Data Retention Engine PRO
Health data is sensitive. The plugin includes a Privacy-Focused Data Deletion Tool to help you follow your local data retention policies.
Go to Settings → Privacy & GDPR to enable the engine. Select a timeframe (e.g., 30 days). A background process will securely and permanently delete patient records older than this period every night at midnight.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Find quick solutions to the 13 most common setup and delivery issues.
Installation & Licensing
Q1: Why does the shortcode show a “Premium Feature Locked” error?
Fix: Your Pro License is inactive, expired, or your domain has changed. Go to Settings > License, clear the old key, re-enter it, and click ‘Activate’.
Q2: How do I migrate the plugin settings to another website?
Fix: Go to Settings > Export/Import and click ‘Export JSON’. Install the plugin on the new site, upload this JSON file, and click ‘Import’. Note: You will need to manually re-enter your license key.
Email OTP & PDF Delivery
Q3: Users are not receiving Email OTPs, or emails are going to Spam.
Fix: Default WordPress mailers are often blocked by Gmail/Yahoo. Go to Settings > SMTP Server and configure a dedicated SMTP (like Brevo or SendGrid). Ensure your “From Email” is a verified domain address (e.g., no-reply@yourclinic.com).
Q4: The Delayed Bonus Email (Email 2) is not sending automatically after 24 hours.
Fix: Delayed emails rely on WordPress Cron via Action Scheduler. If your site has low traffic, cron jobs might not trigger on time. Install a free plugin like “WP Crontrol” to force execution, or set up a Server-Side Cron Job via your hosting cPanel.
Q5: Clicking the “Download PDF” button in the email gives a 404 (Page Not Found) error.
Fix: The PDF URL mapped in Settings is incorrect or the file was deleted. Go to your WordPress Media Library, click on the PDF, select “Copy URL to clipboard”, and paste it again in Settings > Email & PDFs.
WhatsApp API & OTP
Q6: The WhatsApp OTP is failing to send.
Fix:
1. Meta API: Ensure your Token hasn’t expired (generate a Permanent Token) and your message template is approved.
2. Twilio: Check if you have sufficient account balance/credits.
3. Ensure the user is entering their number without the + sign and has selected the correct country code.
Q7: Why is the “Get Full Report on WhatsApp” button greyed out on the result page?
Fix: To comply with spam laws, users must check the “I agree to receive my report…” consent box first. The button becomes clickable immediately after ticking the box.
Frontend UI & Customization
Q8: I changed the brand colors and icons in Customization, but they aren’t updating on my live site.
Fix: This is a caching issue. Open the YAS Dashboard, click the ‘Quick Tools’ panel (top right button), and click Purge System Cache. If you use Cloudflare or a caching plugin (like LiteSpeed Cache), clear its cache as well.
Q9: The ‘Start Assessment’ button is unclickable after filling out the form.
Fix: If you have enabled Email OTP or WhatsApp OTP in Settings, the user MUST verify their OTP first. The start button remains disabled until verification is complete.
Q10: Why is every user getting “Sama (Balanced)” in the Bowel Health test?
Fix: You haven’t mapped your answer options to Categories and Scores. Go to Bowel Health, edit each question, and assign every option a score (1-3) and a specific Gut Type category.
Leads, Data & Integrations
Q11: My older patient leads suddenly disappeared from the Reports dashboard.
Fix: You likely turned on the “Auto-Deletion Engine” in Settings > Privacy & GDPR. This securely wipes records older than a specific timeframe (e.g., 30 days) to help maintain compliance with data policies.
Q12: How do I automatically send leads to Zapier or Pabbly Connect?
Fix: Create a “Webhook URL” in your Zapier/Pabbly account. Paste this URL into Settings > Integrations. Now, every time a test is completed, the patient data will be instantly pushed to your CRM.
Q13: Can I download patient data into Excel?
Fix: Yes. Go to Settings > Export / Import. Click the CSV Export buttons for Prakriti, Bowel, or General Leads to download a file that opens perfectly in Excel.
